Now, in Atala, lives the Asura Bala, the son of Maya, who, they say has created ninety-six conjuring tricks. Some of which the conjurers practice even today. As this Asura yawned there sprang up three women from his mouth, namely the Swairinis, Kaaminies and the Pumshchalis. These women enter these regions and administer an elixir named Haataka, on the men living there, causing them to become sexually active. They then enjoy sexually, at will, with sportive glances, love begotten smiles, amorous talks embraces etc. By the intake of that elixir the men feel that they are all powerful and perfect like God, and that they have strength equal to that of ten thousand mighty elephants, and like blinded by intoxication, brag about.

this is (what he) said
In that, that, by The Lord, finding no other means of depriving Bali of the three worlds, under the pretext of begging, He robbed him of them, except leaving his body to him, and then tying him with the snares of Varuna, threw him in the mountain caves. At that time Bali said this ....

Alas! Surely this glorious Indra is not clever in asking for the objects of his life, even though the foremost Brihaspati was appointed to counsel him, he ignored his advice, and asked Lord Vishnu for only our material blessings, and not Himself. The service of the Lord is much more valuable, as it has no age limit, it is infinite, whereas the sovereignty of the three worlds changes at every Manvantara.
