Shree Shuka said -
केशी तु कंसप्रहित: खुरैर्महीं महाहयो निर्जरयन् मनोजव: ।
सटावधूताभ्रविमानसङ्कुलं कुर्वन् नभो हेषितभीषिताखिल: ॥१॥
केशी तु कंस-प्रहित:
Keshee, indeed, by Kansa sent
खुरै:-महीम् महा-हय:
with hoofs the earth, the huge horse
निर्जरयन् मनोजव:
digging, thought like quick
सटावधूत-अभ्र-विमान-
by the manes dispersing the clouds, and areal car's
सङ्कुलम् कुर्वन् नभ:
cluster, rendering the sky
हेषित-भीषित-अखिल:
by his neighs terrifying everything
Sent by Kansa, indeed, the huge horse, Keshee, quick like thought, digging the earth with his hoofs, dispersing the clusters of the clouds and areal cars by his manes, rendered everything in the sky terrified by his neighs.
विशालनेत्रो विकटास्यकोटरो बृहद्गलो नीलमहाम्बुदोपम: ।
दुराशय: कंसहितं चिकीर्षुर्व्रजं स नन्दस्य जगाम कम्पयन् ॥२॥
विशाल-नेत्र: विकट-आस्य-कोटर:
with big eyes, fearful mouth hollow (like, of a tree)
बृहत्-गल: नील-महा-अम्बुद-उपम:
huge neck, blue large cloud like
दुराशय: कंस-हितम् चिकीर्षु:-
evil minded, Kansa's interest eager to do
व्रजम् स: नन्दस्य जगाम कम्पयन्
Vraja, he, of Nanda went trembling
He, the demon, with his big eyes, fearful mouth like the hollow of the tree, huge neck resembling a large blue cloud, evil minded, eager to act in Kansa's interest, went trembling Nanda's Vraja.
तं त्रासयन्तं भगवान् स्वगोकुलं तद्-हेषितैर्वालविघूर्णिताम्बुदम् ।
आत्मानमाजौ मृगयन्तमग्रणीरुपाह्वयत् स व्यनदन्मृगेन्द्रवत् ॥३॥
तम् त्रासयन्तम् भगवान्
him, (who was) terrifying, The Lord,
स्व-गोकुलम् तत्-हेषितै:-
His own Gokula by his neighs
वाल-विघूर्णित-अम्बुदम्
by the (mane's) hair dispersed clouds,
आत्मानम्-आजौ मृगयन्तम्-
himself in the duel seeking,
अग्रणी:-उपाह्वयत् स:
in the forefront, challenged He,
व्यनदन्-मृगेन्द्र-वत्
roared lion like
The Lord saw that His own Gokula was terrified by the neighs of diabolical horse, the clouds were dispersed by the hair of his mane, who was seeking himself in the duel, and placed Himself in the forefront and challenged him, and he roared like a lion in return.
स तं निशाम्याभिमुखो मुखेन खं पिबन्निवाभ्यद्रवदत्यमर्षण: ।
जघान पद्भ्यामरविन्दलोचनं दुरासदश्चण्डजवो दुरत्यय: ॥४॥
स: तम् निशाम्य-अभिमुख:
he, Him neighing at, face to face,
मुखेन खम् पिबन्-इव-
the sky drinking as if,
अभ्यद्रवत्-अति-अमर्षण:
charged full of rage,
जघान पद्भ्याम्-
hit with the legs,
अरविन्द-लोचनम्
The lotus eyed (Lord)
दुरासद: चण्ड-जव: दुरत्यय:
the difficult to be approached, of high speed,
The horse, difficult to be approached, of high speed, full of rage, and difficult to be controlled, as if drinking the sky, neighing at Him, charged, and came face to face, and hit The Lotus Eyed Lord with his hind legs.
तद् वञ्चयित्वा तमधोक्षजो रुषा प्रगृह्य दोर्भ्यां परिविध्य पादयो: ।
सावज्ञमुत्सृज्य धनु:शतान्तरे यथोरगं तार्क्ष्यसुतो व्यवस्थित: ॥५॥
तत् वञ्चयित्वा तम्-अधोक्षज:
that dodging, him, The (Lord) beyond sense perception,
रुषा प्रगृह्य दोर्भ्याम्
angrily catching hold of by two arms
परिविध्य पादयो:
whirling the two legs
सावज्ञम्-उत्सृज्य
with disdain flung
धनु:-शत-अन्तरे यथा-उरगम्
bows hundred away, just as a snake,
तार्क्ष्य-सुत: व्यवस्थित:
Kashyapa's son, (Gaduda) stood
Shree Krishna, The Lord beyond sense perceptions, dodged that blow, and with His two hands caught him by his two legs, whirling Him, flung him a hundred bows away, just as Gaduda, the son of sage Kashyapa would throw a snake.
स लब्धसंज्ञ: पुनरुत्थितो रुषा व्यादाय केशी तरसाऽऽपतद्-हरिम् ।
सोऽप्यस्य वक्त्रे भुजमुत्तरं स्मयन् प्रवेशयामास यथोरगं बिले ॥६॥
स: लब्ध-संज्ञ: पुन:-उत्थित:
he regaining consciousness, again got up
रुषा व्यादाय केशी
angrily, with out stretched mouth, Keshee,
तरसा-अपतत्-हरिम्
speedily attacked Shree Hari
स:-अपि-अस्य वक्त्रे
He also in his mouth
भुजम्-उत्तरम् स्मयन्
arm left, smilingly
प्रवेशयामास यथा-उरगम् बिले
thrust, just as a snake (enters) the hole
He, Keshee, regaining consciousness, got up angrily, and with his out stretched mouth, speedily attacked Shree Hari. He also, smilingly, thrust His left arm in his mouth, just as a snake enters his burrow.
दन्ता निपेतुर्भगवद्भुजस्पृशस्ते केशिनस्तप्तमय: स्पृशो यथा ।
बाहुश्च तद्देहगतो महात्मनो यथाऽऽमय: संववृधे उपेक्षित: ॥७॥
दन्ता: निपेतु:-भगवत्-भुज-
the teeth fell, by The Lord's arm's
स्पृश:-ते केशिन:-
touch, of that Keshee
तप्त-मय: स्पृश: यथा
by a heated iron rod as if
बाहु:-च तत्-देह-गत:
the arm and in his body entering
महात्मन: यथा-आमय:
of the Supreme Soul, just as the disease (of dropsy)
संववृधे उपेक्षित:
swells, unattended
The teeth of that Keshee fell by the touch of The Lord's arm, as if by a heated iron rod, and the inserted arm swelled, like the disease of dropsy causes the stomach to be swelled, if unattended.
समेधामानेन स कृष्णबाहुना निरुद्धवायुश्चरणांश्च विक्षिपन् ।
प्रस्विन्नगात्र: परिवृत्तलोचन: पपात लेण्डं विसृजन् क्षितौ व्यसु: ॥८॥
समेधमानेन स: कृष्ण-
by the swelling, he, by Krishna's
बाहुना निरुद्ध-वायु:-
arm, obstructed breath
चरणान्-च विक्षिपन्
legs and throwing about,
प्रस्विन्न-गात्र: परिवृत्त-लोचन:
profusely sweating body, upturned eyes,
पपात लेण्डम् विसृजन्
fell down excrement passing
क्षितौ व्यसु:
on the ground, lifeless
By the swelling of Krishna's arm, his breath was obstructed, and he threw about his legs, profusely sweating in the body, with upturned eyes, passing excrement, he fell down on the ground, lifeless.
तद्देहत: कर्कटिकाफलोपमाद् व्यसोरपाकृष्य भुजं महाभुज: ।
अविस्मितोऽयत्नहतारिरुत्स्मयै: प्रसूनवर्षैर्दिविषद्भिरीडित: ॥९॥
तत्-देहत:

कर्कटिका-फल-उपमाद्
cucumber fruit like
व्यसो:-अपाकृष्य
burst pulling out
भुजम् महाभुज:
the arm, The mighty armed,
अविस्मित-अयत्न-
the unelated, effortlessly,
हत-अरि:-उत्स्मयै:
killed the enemy, amazed,
प्रसून-वर्षै:-
by flowers showering,
दिविषद्भि:-ईडित:
by the gods' was glorified
The mighty armed Lord, withdrew His arm from his lifeless body, which had burst like a ripe cucumber fruit, and stood unelated at effortlessly having killed the enemy. The gods in the heaven were amazed and showered flowers, and glorified Him.
देवर्षिरुपसङ्गम्य भागवतप्रवरो नृप ।
कृष्णमक्लिष्टकर्माणं रहस्येतदभाषत ॥१०॥
देवर्षि:-उपसङ्गम्य
the divine sage (Naarada) approaching,
भागवत-प्रवर: नृप
of the devotees' the foremost, O King!
कृष्णम्-अक्लिष्ट-कर्माणम्
Krishna, of unwearied actions,
रहसि-एतत्-अभाषत
in secret, this said,….
O King! of the devotees' the foremost, the divine sage (Naarada), approached Krishna, of unwearied actions, in secret, and to Him said this,…
कृष्ण कृष्णाप्रमेयात्मन् योगेश जगदीश्वर ।
वासुदेवाखिलावास सात्वतां प्रवर प्रभो ॥११॥
कृष्ण कृष्ण-अप्रमेय-आत्मन्
Krishna! O Krishna! of incomprehensible character!
योग-ईश जगत्-ईश्वर
Master of yoga! Of the universe The Ruler!
वासुदेव-अखिल-आवास
Vaasudeva! Of All The Abode
सात्वताम् प्रवर प्रभो
of the Yadus' the foremost! O Almighty Lord!
O Krishna! Krishna! of incomprehensible character! O Master of yoga! The Ruler of the universe! Vaasudeva! The Abode of all, the foremost of the Yadus'! O Almighty Lord!
त्वमात्मा सर्वभूतानामेको ज्योतिरिवैधसाम् ।
गूढो गुहाशय: साक्षी महापुरुष ईश्वर: ॥१२॥
त्वम्-आत्मा सर्व-भूतानाम्-
You are the soul of all the created beings,
एक: ज्योति:-इव-एधसाम्
one fire, like in the logs of wood,
गूढ: गुहाशय: साक्षी
concealed, indwelling in the intellect, The Witness,
महापुरुष: ईश्वर:
The Supreme Person, The Almighty Lord
You are the Soul of all the created beings, like one fire in the logs of wood, concealed, indwelling in the intellect, The Witness, The Supreme Person, The Almighty Lord,….
आत्मनाऽऽत्माश्रय: पूर्वं मायया ससृजे गुणान् ।
तैरिदं सत्यसंकल्प: सृजस्यत्स्यवसीश्वर: ॥१३॥
आत्मना-आत्म-आश्रय:
by Yourself, on Yourself depending,
पूर्वम् मायया ससृजे गुणान्
in the beginning, by Maayaa created the Gunas,
तै:-इदम् सत्य-संकल्प:
by them this, of Thou of unfailing purpose
सृजसि-अत्सि-अवसि-ईश्वर:
create, absorb, and protect O Almighty!
O Almighty! Thou of unfailing purpose, in the beginning, by Yourself, depending on Yourself, by Maayaa, You created the Gunas, by them, You create, absorb, and protect this universe.
स त्वं भूधरभूतानां दैत्यप्रमथरक्षसाम् ।
अवतीर्णो विनाशाय सेतूनां रक्षणाय च ॥१४॥
स: त्वम् भूधर-भूतानाम्
that You, of (those) kings becoming
दैत्य-प्रमथ-रक्षसाम्
the demons, goblins, and Raakshasha's,
अवतीर्ण: विनाशाय
have descended to annihilate
सेतूनाम् रक्षणाय च
of the boundries (of virtue) to preserve and
Such You, have descended to annihilate the demons, goblins and Raakshasha's, who are born as kings, and to preserve those saintly people who are the boundaries of virtue.
दिष्ट्या ते निहतो दैत्यो लीलयायं हयाकृति: ।
यस्य हेषितसंत्रस्तास्त्यजन्त्यनिमिषा दिवम् ॥१५॥
दिष्ट्या ते निहत: दैत्य:
fortunately, You have killed the demon
लीलया-अयम् हय-आकृति:
deceptively, this in horse form,
यस्य हेषित-संत्रस्ता:-
by whose neighing tormented
त्यजन्ति-अनिमिषा दिवम्
leave the gods the heaven
Fortunately, the demon in the deceptive form of a horse has been killed by You, by whose neighing tormented, the gods had left heaven.
चाणूरं मुष्टिकं चैव मल्लानन्यांश्च हस्तिनम् ।
कंसं च निहतं द्रक्ष्ये परश्वोऽहनि ते विभो ॥१६॥
चाणूरम् मुष्टिकम् च-एव
Chaanoora, Mushtika, and also
मल्लान्-अन्यान्-च हस्तिनम्
the wrestlers others, and the elephant
कंसम् च निहतम् द्रक्ष्ये
(Kuvalayaapeeda) Kansa and killed will see
परश्व:-अहनि ते विभो
after tomorrow day, by You, O Almighty Lord!
O Almighty Lord! Day after tomorrow, I will see Chaanoora, Mushtika, and also the other wrestlers, the elephant Kuvalayaapeeda, and Kansa also, killed by You.
तस्यानु शङ्खयवनमुराणां नरकस्य च ।
पारिजातापहरणमिन्द्रस्य च पराजयम् ॥१७॥
तस्य-अनु शङ्ख-यवन-
that after, of Shankha, Kaala-yavana,
मुराणाम् नरकस्य च
Mura, Naraka and (death)
पारिजात-अपहरणम्-
of Paarijaata taking away,
इन्द्रस्य च पराजयम्
of Indra and defeat
After that, I will see the death of Shankha, Kaala-yavana, Mura, Naraka and the taking away of the celestial tree Paarijaata, from heaven and also the defeat of Indra.
उद्वाहं वीरकन्यानां वीर्यशुल्कादिलक्षणम् ।
नृगस्य मोक्षणं पापाद् द्वारकायां जगत्पते ॥१८॥
उद्वाहम् वीर-कन्यानाम्
the marrying of the valorous dames,
वीर्य-शुल्क-आदि-लक्षणम्
by valour demonstrating, price will be the distinction
नृगस्य मोक्षणम् पापात्
of Nriga deliverance from sin,
द्वारकायाम् जगत्पते
in Dwaarakaa, O Lord of the universe!
O Lord of the universe! I will also witness the marrying of the valorous dames, the distinction being the demonstration of valour as the price, and in Dwaarakaa, the deliverance of Nriga from sin.
स्यमन्तकस्य च मणेरादानं सह भार्यया ।
मृतपुत्रप्रदानं च ब्राह्मणस्य स्वधामत: ॥1९॥
स्यमन्तकस्य च मणे:-
of the Syamantaka and gem
आदानम् सह भार्यया
bringing with (Your) wife,
मृत-पुत्र-प्रदानम् च
dead son returning and
ब्राह्मणस्य स्व-धामत:
of the Braahmana, from own abode
I will witness You, with Your wife bringing the Syamantaka gem, and also the restoration of the dead son of the Braahmana, from Your own abode.
पौण्ड्रकस्य वधं पश्चात् काशिपुर्याश्च दीपनम् ।
दन्तवक्त्रस्य निधनं चैद्यस्य च महाक्रतौ ॥२०॥
पौण्ड्रकस्य वधम् पश्चात्
Paundraka's slaying, after that,
काशिपुर्या:-च दीपनम्
of Kaashi puri and enflamed
दन्तवक्त्रस्य निधनम्
of Dantavaktra the death
चैद्यस्य च महा-क्रतौ
of Chaidya and, in the great sacrifice
After that, the slaying of Paundraka, the burning of Kaashi puri, the death of Dantavaktra and Chaidya, in the great sacrifice.
यानि चान्यानि वीर्याणि द्वारकामावसन् भवान् ।
कर्ता द्रक्ष्याम्यहं तानि गेयानि कविभिर्भुवि ॥२१॥
यानि च-अन्यानि वीर्याणि
those and other valorous (deeds),
द्वारकाम्-अवसन् भवान्
in Dwaarakaa (while) residing You
कर्ता द्रक्ष्यामि-अहम् तानि
will perform, will see I, them
गेयानि कविभि:-भुवि
worthy of being sung by the wise on the earth
Those other valorous deeds that You will perform while residing in Dwaarakaa, I will witness them also, which are worthy of being sung by the wise, on the earth.
अथ ते कालरूपस्य क्षपयिष्णोरमुष्य वै ।
अक्षौहिणीनां निधनं द्रक्ष्याम्यर्जुनसारथे: ॥२२॥
अथ ते काल-रूपस्य
then, by You, as Time Spirit
क्षपयिष्णो:-अमुष्य वै
wanting dissolution of this, (earth's weight), indeed,
अक्षौहिणीनाम् निधनम्
of Akshauhinee (army's) killing
द्रक्ष्यामि-अर्जुन-सारथे:
will see, (as in the form of) Arjuna's charioteer
Then, You wanting to lessen the burden of the earth, indeed, in the form of Time spirit will kill the Akshauhinee army, in the form of Arjuna's charioteer, I will witness that.
विशुद्धविज्ञानघनं स्वसंस्थया समाप्तसर्वार्थममोघवाञ्छितम् ।
स्वतेजसा नित्यनिवृत्तमायागुणप्रवाहं भगवन्तमीमहि ॥२३॥
विशुद्ध-विज्ञान-घनम्
pure consciousness dense
स्व-संस्थया समाप्त-
in own (existence) established, fully achieved
सर्व-अर्थम्-अमोघ-वाञ्छितम्
all ends of unfailing desires,
स्व-तेजसा नित्य-निवृत्त-
by own effulgence, for ever is shut out
माया-गुण-प्रवाहम्
the Maayaa and the Gunas' flow
भगवन्तम्-ईमहि
The Almighty Lord, we, seek protection
O Almighty Lord! We seek protection of You, Who are pure dense consciousness, You are established in Your own existence, You have fully achieved all Your ends, and are of unfailing desires, and by Your own effulgence the flow of Maayaa and the Gunas is ever shut from You.
त्वामीश्वरं स्वाश्रयमात्ममायया विनिर्मिताशेषविशेषकल्पनम् ।
क्रीडार्थमद्यात्तमनुष्यविग्रहं नतोऽस्मि धुर्यं यदुवृष्णिसात्वताम् ॥२४॥
त्वाम्-ईश्वरम् स्व-आश्रयम्-
to You, The Almighty Lord, on self dependent
आत्म-मायया विनिर्मित-
by own Maayaa, created
अशेष-विशेष-कल्पनम्
unending different categories,
क्रीडा-अर्थम्-अद्य-आत्त-
for the sake of sporting, today, have taken
मनुष्य-विग्रहम् नत:-अस्मि
manly form, bowed am I
धुर्यम् यदु-वृष्णि-सात्वताम्
the foremost of the Yadus, Vrishnees and the Saatvatas
I bow to You, The self dependent, Almighty Lord, Who by His own Maayaa, has created unending different categories, and for the sake of sporting, today, has taken a manly form, as the foremost of the Yadus, Vrishnees and the Saatvatas.
श्री शुक उवाच -
Shree Shuka said -
एवं यदुपतिं कृष्णं भागवतप्रवरो मुनि: ।
प्रणिपत्याभ्यनुज्ञातो ययौ तद्दर्शनोत्सव: ॥२५॥
एवम् यदु-पतिम् कृष्णम्
in this manner, of the Yadus the Lord, Krishna,
भागवत-प्रवर: मुनि:
of the devotees the foremost, the sage
प्रणिपत्य-अभ्यनुज्ञात:
bowed to and permitted by (Krishna)
ययौ तत्-दर्शन-उत्सव:
went, His sight celebrating
In this manner, the foremost of The Lord's devotees, the celestial sage Naarada, bowed to The Lord of the Yadus, Krishna, and duly permitted by Him, went, celebrating the meeting with Him.
भगवानपि गोविन्दो हत्वा केशिनमाहवे ।
पशूनपालयत् पालै: प्रीतैर्व्रजसुखावह: ॥२६॥
भगवान्-अपि गोविन्द:
The Lord also Govinda,
हत्वा केशिनम्-आहवे
having killed Keshee in the battle,
पशून्-अपालयत् पालै:
the cattle tended with the cowherds,
प्रीतै:-व्रज-सुख-आवह:
lovingly, to Vraja bringing delight
The Lord Krishna, also, having killed Keshee in a combat, lovingly tended the cattle with the cowherds, and brought delight to Vraja.
एकदा ते पशून् पालाश्चारयन्तोऽद्रिसानुषु ।
चक्रुर्निलायनक्रीडाश्चोरपालापदेशत: ॥२७॥
एकदा ते पशून् पाला:-
one day, they, the cattle, the cowherds,
चारयन्त:-अद्रि-सानुषु
pasturing on the mountain's plateau
चक्रु:-निलायन-क्रीडा:-
played hide and seek game,
चोर-पाल-अपदेशत:
(and) thief police disguised as
One day, the cowherds, played the game of hide and seek, in the disguise of thief and police, when they were pasturing the cattle on the plateau of the mountain.
तत्रासन् कतिचिच्चोरा: पालाश्च कतिचिन्नृप ।
मेषायिताश्च तत्रैके विजह्रुरकुतोभया: ॥२८॥
तत्र-आसन् कतिचित्-चोरा:
there were some thieves,
पाला:-च कतिचित्-नृप
police and some, O King!
मेष-आयिता:-च तत्र-एके
ram enacted, and there some,
विजह्रु:-अकुत:-भया:
roamed without fear
O King! There were some who were thieves, and some who were police, and some roamed there without fear, acting as rams.
मयपुत्रो महामायो व्योमो गोपालवेषधृक् ।
मेषायितानपोवाह प्रायश्चोरायितो बहून् ॥२९॥
मय-पुत्र: महा-माय:
Maya's son, the great conjurer
व्योम: गोपाल-वेष-धृक्
Vyoma, of a cowherd's appearance taking
मेषायितान्-अपोवाह
the ram disguised stole
प्राय:-चोरायित: बहून्
mostly, thief imitating many
Maya's son, the great conjurer, Vyoma, took the appearance of a cowherd and often playing the part of a thief in the game, stole and hid many of those who were playing as rams.
गिरिदर्यां विनिक्षिप्य नीतं नीतं महासुर: ।
शिलया पिदधे द्वारं चतु:पञ्चावशेषिता: ॥३०॥
गिरि-दर्याम् विनिक्षिप्य
in the mountain cave throwing,
नीतम् नीतम् महा-असुर:
taking, and taking away, the great demon,
शिलया पिदधे द्वारम्
by a rock blocked the entrence
चतु:-पञ्च-अवशेषिता:
four five remaining
He, the great Asura, took the cowherd boys one by one and kept them in the cave of the mountain, and blocked the entrence by a rock, until only four or five of them remained.
तस्य तत् कर्म विज्ञाय कृष्ण शणद: सताम् ।
गोपान् नयन्तं जग्राह वृकं हरिरिवौजसा ॥३१॥
तस्य तत् कर्म विज्ञाय
his that work knowing
कृष्ण: शणद: सताम्
Krishna, protection giver to the virtuous,
गोपान् नयन्तम् जग्राह
the Gopas carrying caught hold of,
वृकम् हरि:-इव-औजसा
a wolf a lion like, forcibly
Krishna, the protection giver to the virtuous, knowing that work of his, forcibly caught hold of him, as he was carrying the Gopas, just like a lion would seize a wolf.
स निजं रूपमास्थाय गिरीन्द्रसदृशं बली ।
इच्छन् विमोक्तुमात्मानं नाशक्नोद् ग्रहणातुर: ॥३२॥
स: निजम् रूपम्-आस्थाय
he in own form coming,
गिरीन्द्र-सदृशम् बली
a huge mountain like, the valorous,
इच्छन् विमोक्तुम्-आत्मानम्
wanting to free himself,
न-अशक्नोत् ग्रहण-आतुर:
was not able to do so, being caught, pained
The valorous Asura, came into his own form, resembling a huge mountain. Being pained for being caught he tried to free himself but was not able to do so.
तं निगृह्याच्युतो दोर्भ्यां पातयित्वा महीतले ।
पश्यतां दिवि देवानां पशुमारममारयत् ॥३३॥
तम् निगृह्य-अच्युत: दोर्भ्याम्
him getting hold of, The Immortal Lord, by two hands
पातयित्वा मही-तले
dashing on the earth's surface
पश्यताम् दिवि देवनाम्
as looked on in the heaven the gods,
पशुमारम्-अमारयत्
slaughtering killed
The Immortal Lord, Krishna, getting hold of him, with His two hands, dashed him on the surface of the earth, and as the gods in the heaven looked on, slaughtered and killed him.
गुहापिधानं निर्भिद्य गोपान् नि:सार्य कृच्छ्रत: ।
स्तूयमान: सुरैर्गोपै: प्रविवेश स्वगोकुलम् ॥३४॥
गुह-अपिधानम् निर्भिद्य
the cave's blocking rock breaking away,
गोपान् नि:सार्य कृच्छ्रत:
the Gopas bringing out, from danger,
स्तूयमान: सुरै:-गोपै:
glorified by the gods, with the Gopas
प्रविवेश स्व-गोकुलम्
entered His own Gokula
Krishna broke away the rock blocking the mouth of the cave, and brought out the Gopas from danger. He was glorified by the gods, and entered His own Gokula along with the Gopas.
इति श्रीमद्भागवते महापुराणे पारमहंस्यां संहितायां दशमस्कन्धे पूर्वार्धे व्योमासुरवधो नाम सप्तत्रिंश: अध्याय: ॥३७॥
Thus ends the thirty-seventh discourse entitled 'The demon Vyoma slain', in the first half of Book Ten of the great and glorious Bhaagavata-Puraana.
